Yes I agree for long trips - but while I'm out golfing (with clubs in the trunk) she can get groceries in hers.
We actually had a similar experience on a trip to AZ one year. Rented a C7 from Hertz which became her grocery car for the trip while I drove my SSR that stayed in AZ. That experience gained management approval to sell our C5 and buy our first C7.
