I prefer Legs
I saw him in Halifax many years ago but can’t remember exactly where. Something tells me it may have been at the Misty Moon . He’s not as well known as you might think given his influence on music especially earlier British musicians. Something tells me he “ discovered “ Elton John for example.Believe I saw him twice at the Upper or Lower Deck in Halifax several years ago
Lol... once again we seem to have haunted the same places. Spent many a night at the Misty Moon and saw many bands there....including Baldry a long time ago, and Jeff Healey during a trip back there in 89... Great nightclub....I saw him in Halifax many years ago but can’t remember exactly where. Something tells me it may have been at the Misty Moon . John William "Long John" Baldry(12 January 1941 – 21 July 2005) was an English musician and actor. In the 1960s, he was one of the first British vocalists to sing the blues in clubs and shared the stage with many British musicians including the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. Before achieving stardom, Rod Stewart and Elton John were members of bands led by Baldry. He enjoyed pop success in 1967 when "Let the Heartaches Begin" reached No. 1 in the UK, and in Australia where his duet with Kathi McDonald, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'", reached No. 2 in 1980.
Baldry lived in Canada from the late 1970s onward, and continued to make records there. Beginning in the mid 1980s, he took up voiceoverwork, most notably as Dr. Ivo Robotnik in Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog and KOMPLEX in Bucky O'Hare and the Toad Wars!

Just about tumbled down those stairs more than once. And yes , lots of good local bands as well like Sam Moon and the Universal Power for example and Dutch , Minglewood and some others that would come to mind if I thought about it for a bit. Saw Dutch Mason and James Cotton together for a good long show one Sunday night. Good times with a mickey down the boot , lol.Lol... once again we seem to have haunted the same places. Minglewood was a regular in both Halifax and Dartmouth back then. He played at the Hub in Dartmouth lots. One of our favorite clubs as the manager was a friend and let the patrons light up at will....Just about tumbled down those stairs more than once.
