Your favorite driving tunes

Lol. Don't recall saying that actually but if you say so ...It's always been and still is one of my favorite tracks. Dylan released it in 1967 , Hendrix in 1968 and it was one of the times that the cover version was better than the original. IMHO. I probably heard the Hendrix version pretty close to when it was released . Didn't realize it was a Dylan track until a number of years later. But I do now recall you posting it. Good on ya , most wouldn't have noticed. Although I did give Dylan the credit.... ;)
I never knew it was a dylan song. Interesting! Now I must go find that one.

Uncle Kracker ... Drift Away

Back story on this tune .....
Several years ago ....My old man .... my son and I were driving back from Bonita Springs ...( went to do some work on the house ) got some boating in and of course beach time .....

We stopped at this gas station in what seemed to be the smallest town in Georgia .... I went in to pay for the gas and the guy behind the counter had 10 tickets to uncle Kracker for that very night he was actually giving away ... i said if you can part with 3 ..... sure enough he gave them to me .... they were nose bleeds but hey for free why not

when i told the other 2 my son was excited and the old man freaked .... long story short .... the old man had a better time than me and my son put together ..... especially when the women ( some of them ) started to take off their tops ;)

Thats filed away as one of my greatest memories of the old man .....

Enjoy

Santana . Samba Pa Ti . One of the greats.

Have we done this one?
Santana - Oye Como Va
I know it's bongo's but I drum to it. A great song to drum to.

Black Magic Woman

I think Santana has been on over 50 albums so perhaps not , lol.
Just about anything by him is good.

The Carpenters - Close to You
Such a sad story about Karen Carpenter and her struggle with Anorexia nervosa.
A voice much like Shania Twain's. Beautiful.
She drummed to all the songs too!
