Wow The East Coast Is Going To Get Pummelled

Did the matitime thing helping neighbours move things under cover yesterday. Turned out being more fortunate than those along the NB coast. NS & PEI & NL not as fortunate and pretty much TBD. Am on the west perimeter of Fiona with Rain and North Wind gusts … soon to he on the Southern part of it all with winds likely from the West - Northwest. Experiencing intermittent flickering lighting.
Whew …

Thinking of those on the coastlines.

Very bad on the West Coast (Port aux Basque and area) very high storm surge, homes being washed off the foundations into the sea, reports of one lady being swept out to sea. Wind speeds are pushing 180 km in that area. State of emergency has been call in the town and those close to the shore arebbeing asked to evacuate.

Escaped the severity of Fiona’s Fury by a few hundred kilometers. Glad I was here … just in case. My backyard “toy” had to run only for it’s weekly 5 minute “exercise”. Emptied 2.5 inches from the rain gauge. Thinking of those much less fortunate this morning as neighbors here are out resetting their patio furniture up.

Sad to see the devastation caused by Fiona (barmaid at the Wind and Wet Whistle ). Geez something upset her!

Great to see the clean up beginning all over the east coast. Good luck folks, lots of work ahead but wonderful to see the east coast sense of humour is still there.
