Winter storage question

Been storing mine with dryer sheets inside engine bay and interior of car for 20 years , never had a rodent problem, so they seem to work.
Ah , one of those situations where unless you don’t you won’t know if it works or not. But , don’t want to take the chance just in case……kinda like, hmmm…rubber or no rubber. ;)

Ignoring the analogy, I will say that I tried Irish Spring soap in an RV years ago. By spring the mice had eaten half of the bar.

Or they use it to stick the dryer sheets together for their nest ..l.l

"Rubber or no" is a way bigger decision than "dryer sheets or no". No rubber could lead to possibly having to sell your vette to pay for someones college (LOL)

Moth balls help keep the pests away.
From AI for what it’s worth. And don’t shoot the messenger, lol. There have been a lot of different options about this one for sure. And dryer sheets, and bars of soap……..and and and .

Mothballs are not effective at keeping rodents away. While they release toxic fumes designed to kill moths and their larvae, these fumes are insufficient to deter mice or rats long term and the smell quickly dissipates. Using mothballs to repel rodents is generally considered ineffective and not recommended by pest control experts.
Regarding toxicity, mothballs contain chemicals such as naphthalene or paradichlorobenzene, which can be toxic to humans if inhaled in large amounts or swallowed. Exposure to naphthalene can cause symptoms including headaches, nausea, dizziness, respiratory irritation, and more severe effects like hemolytic anemia (destruction of red blood cells), methemoglobinemia, kidney and liver damage, and in rare cases, coma. People with certain enzyme deficiencies (like G6PD deficiency) are particularly at risk. The chemicals are also potentially carcinogenic, and their fumes pose risks especially to children and pets.
In summary:
• Mothballs do not reliably repel rodents.
• Mothballs are toxic to humans and pets, especially if ingested or in poorly ventilated spaces where fumes accumulate.
• Use of mothballs to repel rodents is discouraged due to ineffectiveness and health hazards.
Better rodent control methods involve trapping, sealing entry points, sanitation, and professional pest control services .

I have sonic mice deterrents. I say deterrents because they aren't 100% effective. Some mice are just too stubborn to stay away from them... or deaf lol
You could always leave your dog in there to take care of it for you…oh , wait…lol. Perhaps they are geriatric mice .

I tried sonic a long time ago. I think they consider it 'music to their ears' as they didn't work at all....

I don't have rodents in my Vette cave but my recommendation if you do, install a lift. The only thing can reach my car is flies.

Yeah, you're right. They changed it awhile ago and now it contains ethanol...I wasn't aware of this as I've been fueling up at a cardlock the past few years, which saves me some money. The premium gas at my cardlock supposedly doesn't contain ethanol.
Much like any of our various stations here, they have neglected to put the little "may contain ethanol" sticker on the premium window.

All gasoline sold in Canada contains a minimum of 10% ethanol by law . Complete hogwash….

And unfortunately pumps that actually deliver Top Tier aren’t always marked as such. All Shell fuel is Top Tier but the stickers just went on the pumps here about a month ago after they installed new ones. Co-op here used to say Top Tier on the screen of the pump but now just says “ high quality fuel “ . Better profit margins perhaps than Top Tier.
