Who's currently waiting?...?

Wooooooooooooo! That is awesome! You should probably wait until January to see the reveal of the hi-po model (if there is going to be one) just to make sure you don't have to buy two! :D

I'm at status 3000 (as of last week) with a TPW of 1/6/14... estimated delivery mid February. It will sit in the dealer showroom behind a rope until April when I take it home. I'm in Halifax.

Z51 coupe
Torch red
Black interior
7 speed manual
2LT
Exposed CF roof
CF dash
red calipers
MRC
Performance exhaust
Black wheels

With all of the constraint issues on Z51 and CF stuff, I'm very pleased to be past it at status 3000!!! :D

Basically this is my car...

I'm in a similar boat in that I was told my car will probably arrive in Feb/2014, so if your dealer is keeping it in the showroom a few months, is payment due or does financing start the day it arrives in the showroom, or the day you pick it up a few months later? My dealer offered to hold it in the showroom for "one month interest free" i.e. meaning if it comes Feb 15/14, I don't have to buy it until Mar 15/14, and after that it also gets shipped to my house no matter what the road conditions are, as the showroom floor is pretty busy and some liability reasons as well apparently. Curious what other dealers are doing.

My dealer agreed to store my car in their 5 level car park if mine happens to come during winter. Would have to sign a paper saying they aren't responsible for damages though. If it comes near the end of winter I might be able to talk them into showing it in their show room, but it's pretty small in there.

I'm curious if they are going to let people sit in your car during the "free" month?

LOL

I think he said he would have it taped off but I'm not sure.

Do you have to buy or finance it the day the car arrives or would you pay after the winter is over and you're ready to take it home?

I have a personal relationship with my dealer. They are going to let the car sit in the showroom and benefit from the "noise" it will generate :D I won't actually "buy" it until April so there is really no cost to me at all. They win because people will go in to see the car and I win because it sits behind a rope until April without any cost to me. If I didn't have such a good relationship with the dealership, it might be different.

The GM actually said he hoped the car would arrive earlier than later so they can "have it" longer in the showroom :)

Hmm. I actually don't remember lol. I'm not too concerned though, because Im 95% sure the car wont come before May. So it doesn't really make a difference to me.

Who did you order it through?

You might be surprised on the wait time, I ordered mine Nov 17th and my dealer estimates a February/14 delivery. It is a Z51 which the dealer knows is on 50% constraint.

My dealer in Fort McMurray. Alberta Motor Products (AMP). They are one of the top dealers in Canada I believe. And my dealer doesn't seem to have a clue when mine might be built. They called me today and offered me one of the Premier edition corvettes. (1/29 in Canada) I declined because I didn't want the blue and it really didn't seem like a special edition to me. Dealer still didn't know when my car would be built though.

Right, I forgot you were the Forc Mac guy.

I remember the AMP owner used to drive a C5 back in the day (2002ish) then I saw him more often in a Chevy SSR.

Z51 Torch Red 2Lt
Black interior

Carbon and clear roof
Performance exhaust
Magnetic ride
Red Calipers
Black wheels
Think that's it.

As for when I get it. Your guess is as good as mine. I put my initial deposit and got my name on the list in May. And I keep getting one untrue date after another. They gave me a tracking number on the sales sheet which GM told me wasn't the correct number. I'm still waiting to get the correct number from them. Funny last week they called offering me the "Special Edition" one also. Had one in stock for some reason. I don't want blue and a set of luggage. I want the red one I ordered. Of course now I'm fine with not getting it until April. But I'm wondering if I'll ever get it. Saw a 2009 R8 with the V10 in it for sale the other day...

Waiting for my Yellow 3LT Z51 , black wheels, carbon top & dash.
Must be a lot of cars coming in May -- cause that's the date the
dealerships tell everyone.
Now that the Cdn. dollar has gone South (10% real exchange rate)-- figure
that next years prices will be a bit higher.:canada:

Wow. You ordered in May and still don't have it? Crazy. I ordered mine in October and don't expect it till April. I also got offered the limited edition model but turned it down cause I wanted my colours.

Sounds like some sweet C7's are on their way to Canada!!!! Can't wait to hear your guys impressions!

The 2009 R8 sounds great but I bet the vette will be worth the wait!

May be out of subject, but all I am waiting for is SPRRRRIIIIIIIINNNNNG to get my second wife out of the garage. I always leave home or come back by the side door of the garage and it torture me to see my baby under that black and red satin cover (pretty sexy)waiting for me and nice weather. Bears are so lucky

Hahaha! Winter sucks....unless you play hockey, or have a snowmobile, or are near a lake to ice fish or live where the weather isn't stupid. Hate being apart from my baby.
