So regarding recent post “ who is the original owner of their 2020 C8 “ I am thinking who is the original owner of their 2000 C5 ? Wife still has her 2000 C5 Millennium Yellow convertible , drives it regularly as well as a 2022 C8 HTC. I am thinking not too many original owner C5 ‘S out there, but I could be wrong …

I still have my 98 C5. I bought it new in Oct., 1997. I was informed at that time by some people that worked at the GM plant here, that according to their GM newsletter, my C5 was apparently the first C5 convertible sold in Canada. It is a triple black, 6 speed with 68,000 kms on it. It still runs strong, but it will need new tires when I bring it out in the spring.

That's an incredible piece of Corvette history to still have in your garage. A triple-black '98 C5 convertible with a 6-speed and only 68,000 km is a rare find, especially if it really was the first C5 convertible sold in Canada. Sounds like you've taken great care of it over the years—hopefully a fresh set of tires is all it needs for many more enjoyable miles next spring!

We have our 2001 Millennium yellow Vert we bought new in August
of 2001. It is a Z51 Automatic with 45,000 Kms on it.
It has never been to the dealer for anything other than an oil change.
I had Race Ready Garage do a complete engine tune up and all fluids
changed 2 years ago.
It is on it's second set of tires and 3rd battery.

Sounds like it's been incredibly reliable. Do you still drive it regularly, or has it become more of a weekend/special occasion car?
