Wheels for Wishes Show and Shine 2017 Saturday September 9th. Century Casino St.Albert

Captured Paul spreading the good word about Canadian Corvette Forums after just passing along a CCF Card.
The Watsons are found proudly enjoying their newly acquired 1980 Stingray (of two weeks) at the 2017 St. Albert Wheels for Wishes Event.
Great to meet them - hoping to see them on the Forum.
Thanks Paul !

Good pics Zig...How many cars did they end up with?

The armoured scout vehicle looks like it might be a Ferret of some kind or another....No matter....I want one....lol.... One of those would look good parked beside your H1 too Derek.... The neighbours might start to wonder though....
:suspicious:

Not sure what the total was but was a decent turnout. Ken or Dennis should have the numbers.

It would fit right in. I used to park 3 Hummer's in front of the house so the neighbors are although often annoyed, used to my antics.
It's only 2 now so.... lots of room to drop in another one. Haha

I have a big shop... One would fit just perfect in my center bay....patiently waiting for the first North Korean assault team to roll up my driveway........:Pistolsmiley:

I would like to thank all of you that came out to our Wheels for Wishes Show n Shine 2017. Also for those that donated during the Lake Louise Cruise. The remaining people will have their images on the Drumheller Cruise this Saturday or before. Thank you for your patience. "I LOVE IT" (Brent) THAT YOU ALL DID IT! With your help we raised over $13,000 enough to grant a child a wish and the remaining amount towards a second child's wish! Corvette people are AWESOME! For those that are on Facebook check out the group "Wheels for Wishes" (group image are the two young boys who started Wheels for Wishes). Photographers and members will post their photos on the site. For now we have a teaser of Jordan, last year's recipient whose wish was to meet Rapunzel her favourite princess. Jordan was our Wheels for Wishes Princess! Once a princess always a Princess! She was amazing and a real trooper and stayed until the show and shine ended! I can't say it enough, THANK YOU to each and everyone of you!

ABSOLUTELY WORTH EVERY MILE I TRAVELLED THE PAST TWO DAYS and for the LOUISE CRUISE ROLLING PHOTO OPs too ...
AWESOME !!!
Thanks for letting us know of the Event success. Jordan "Rapunzel" was an icon and the image I take away from this years' event until the next one.
Great Job Everyone and all our CCF "representatives" are nothing but a Great Example of Kindness with a whole lot of Respectful & Spirited Fun.

I think words were "I wonder if there are Corvettes there"?
...when talking with someone at the Event who thought they would just stop by to check it out ....
and there were Corvettes

There was about 85 cars. Unfortunately lower then last year of 120. Need more for next year.

Over 90 pictures posted by a friend of a few of ours from the WCCC in the Meals for Wheels facebook event linked here. There are about 4 or 5 of your car in there too Ziggy... just say'n :)

Click on the little facebook logo top right and it will take you to the event and the picture post.

There were two other car shows the same weekend in Edmonton. One all Pontiac and one other smallish one that would have impacted that. Plus the weather forecast was iffy. I thought the biggest difference this year from last year was a much lower count of older cars and I suspect the forecast was a big part of that reason.

Great turn out from the CCF. Thank you.
With a show and shine in Barhead plus the Pontiac show and shine on the same day, I think we did very well.
Thanks to all that came and supported this event.
