Wow, Colin they look really good. Maybe brand new condition if not a step above.

Very nice, can't wait to see some pictures of them mounted.
 
Thanks fellas -- They're back on the "green envy" now after sweating the job last evening.....The rain is supposed to hold off until after noon so while visiting Mom I'll snap a few pics this morning.

Terry, the product WW recommends is called "serious hot rod wheel polish" and is made by "Hot Rod - American Racing". see pic.

It contains petroleum distillates for cleaning properly and leaves a protective wax coating. This product is applied as necessary so due diligence is the key.

Rich says that if applied properly the wheels will last "a very long time" b4 needing refinishing.
From my experience with it, I can safely say that it's easy to apply, comes back off quickly and easily, and equally easy to buff.

I did ask about other wax products including our beloved REJEX -- He didn't know about them but he did stress that the American Racing product has a slight abrasive, a cleaner, and a wax.

I thought it a nice gesture that he gave me a container free gratis (a $20 value).

After applying one coat to my wheels, I would guestimate that the container would last at least one season easily.

Here's a quick pic of the container... btw have Manny ask for a container for you. Rich did emphasize that proper care of our wheels is the key to longevity.

 
As promised, here's pics of the renewed wheels on the car in a decent setting.
Some I purposely took in the shade and in the sun to show the contrast. I especially like the shade shots with the wheels still 'glowing' contrasted against the dark sinister body of the car.
I did mention that Wheel Wizards include a wheel balance as part of their refinish process and I must say after road testing that the wheels are balanced very well. No sign of shimmy or shake in the seat or the s/wheel. very pleased.

Wheels cleaned up nice Colin.I'm with you, car just does'nt look complete if the wheels need attention. Did WW machine them, or just strip the clear and polish? Ken

Hi Ken -- Much more than just strip the clear: Using a CNC machine they take multiple shallow cuts (thousands of an inch per time) to do a rough cleanup then a final, even shallower cut, to get the high gloss.

Wheels look good Colin: But I knew they would after a visit at Wheel Wizards.
The product they hooked you up with is also very good. Did they also give you some Wheel Wax ? This too is good. However, I did put a couple of coats of Reject on my wheels, and as long as you keep something on them you will not need to polish them as often as you may think. After all, our cars don't see too much bad weather.

Hi Brian -- The stuff Rich gave me is pictured above -- it's by American Racing and is "Serious Hot Rod Wheel Polish" ........ Do you mean a Wax to go on after the wheel polish treatment? If so, no I didn't get any "Wax" -- Just the polish that Rich suggested was all that was needed.

Now I'm thinking that the Rejex would be a good final step after cleaning with Wheel Polish that he gave me.
It sure wouldn't hurt.

He did say to keep something on them and apply regularly depending on 'usage' and weather, and also that dew and humid weather can cause issues if there is no protection at all on them.

something else I just remembered that he said was that the product he did give me: the "Serious Hot Rod Wheel Polish" is slightly abrasive and needs to be applied "with the grain" for obvious reasons to keep the wheels as new.

You had a positive effect on Rich when you were there -- he remembered you as the guy from Caledonia who is "fussy with his vette' as he put it. I said that's the fella and it shows on his yellow C4 vert.:D

LOL -- I reminded him that we are all kind of fussy with our vettes but some more than others.

I get a lot of good feedback from people who have visited WW's or know of them.
