What should I pay for a used C8 2020-2022

IF it were me I'd be going onto the Chev.ca inventory section and see if any left over 24s get your attention. Find a car and go in and negotiate as dealers will want the 24s gone. I've seen $10k off all day long.

Consider that unless you are paying cash, GM is offering 0% financing up to 60 months which is awesome.

I feel the used cars are harder to negotiate on as everyone/dealer wants top dollar and they are overly inflated.

How about rent them from Turo and drive around for couple of days in each, then decide? That's what I did on 2 occasions in the past couple of years. I know it will cost you up ward of $1500 to do this. However you will then have a good evaluation on each car.
Only live once, so swing for what you desire. No Camaro or Mustang. Just cut back on other spending to make it happen. Most of us are on a budget, I am .lol..

When I was looking for a used C7 six years ago (I'd previously bought a 6-year old C3 and same age C5...keeping them for 15 years each), I found the same thing...whereas for the C3 and C5 I was getting the mint condition used ones at that age at close to half the new price, C7's were way higher than that. What finally pushed me to order a new one was that with discounts I got one for 15% over the used price. And with a full warranty. I didn't think twice about that.

Also, agree that rent one from Turo first because used cars are hard to sell with all the economic uncertainty. It would suck if you bought something other than a C8 and regretted it months after...
Only one problem with Turo given the current state of affairs. It’s an American company. Having said that I was amazed at the rental cost for a C8 for one day. $550 to $950 depending on which company, milage , insurance etc !

Hi everyone (I'm new)

I guess the reason why I joined was because I keep seeing dealers pricing used 2020-2022 C8s in the 85k+ CAD and I don't understand why that is the case. Are they hoping people don't know the MSRPs? Or are they irrelevant in this market? I don't want to get laughed out of the dealer when I ask for a 15k discount & I want to understand the true value of 1-2lt 2020-2022 used cars. Any advice?

Hi Adam, my name is Matthew I’m with Georgetown Chevrolet we sponsor the forum. You would be surprised with the discounts you can get on a new C8. Check out some of my in stock units through this forum. Georgetown Showcase & Listings (https://canadiancorvetteforums.com/showcase/categories/georgetown-showcase-listings.9/)

:rofl:ya. Go buy a Camaro or Mustang. That will get you lots of thumbs up on the road driving a shiny grocery getter. I'm sure they have their place... but not next to a Corvette.
There's a big difference between a mass produced pony car and a sports car. Camaro/Mustang....lol... May as well get the 4 cylinder while you're at it.
Nothing else is a Corvette. Whatever generation you choose, hope you find what makes you happy.
You, my friend, are a typical stuck up Corvette owner! :p
A Camaro ZL1 is every bit as fun as your C7. Of course it doesn't compare to a C8! LOL

The current gen mustang GT is not bad, I would buy one

I agreed. There are couple of them that are in the $500 range for 2 days. All the rest are over inflated.
Eventhough it is an American company, the owners are Canadians. So that is fine in my book.

Question about this specific car:

If I run into this dealer and say I'll throw 79999 at them, would they take it? I know its hard to know for sure, I just want to know if I am wasting my time making the drive for a car that has no chance being lowered. Any thoughts?

Not likely, you looking at a 13% discount.

To start, you will need to go through the process, either go into the dealer or if it’s to far try phoning and follow up by email. No guarantees you will get as low as 79999, but perhaps somewhere in between. If you’re serious, I wouldn’t delay.
