Featured What A BOMB !

Featured Thread
...BOMBARDIER that is !!!! Well some more rather unusual pictures from yours truly for your viewing pleasure . This is a 1949 Bombardier . Belongs to my cousin and I was just doing some exhaust work on it. He and another buddy of mine just swapped out the old flat head 6cyl chrysler and 3 speed std tranny for a chevy 305 and turbo 350 trans . I supplied some of the parts and ideas for the build . Man does it boogy now. Lots of power and the auto tranny is a big plus in driving it compared to shifting gears. Still a few things to do to it. You'll notice the rear side doors we took off here as the paint was peeling so they are getting done hopefully by the weekend. This one has rare individual brakes . No snow this winter to use it but he is taking it up north soon for some ice fishing .

probably embarrassing myself but the 'porthole' window is the likeness I recognize..but that seems too easy an answer...lol......
.............good eye !!! , yes you are correct...........

I love the well crafted labeling on the dash and engine!

Must be a blast with the upgrade powertrain.

...........yeah , first time for him doing anything custom adding all the lighting and stuff. Detailing will maybe come later, as I told him you need chrome tips on the exhaust pipes, and chrome valve covers, redo the dash etc. But yeah you step on the gas pedal now it just takes off like a rocket.

...well finally got the 49 rear side doors painted and put back on, a nice set of stainless exhaust tips put on to finish off the pipes, loaded 'er up and it is going up north on a mission to transport some supplies and some get fishing too. Hope he has no problems as this is the maiden voyage for the V8 small block and auto tranny conversion. Just have no snow here to try it out on. Today actually it was blowing dust so bad it was sickening. My yard, the buildings, everything is coated with black dirt .

Love the exhaust tips.

Good luck with the maiden voyage. What a beast.

They must have a great deal of faith in you X to take it on its maiden journey some 260 kms. If it broke down it would be an adventure to get it back.

Nice size fish, we use that size for bait here but each territory is different.

You need something that size for our perch tournaments.

Nice catch. We do have them that big and bigger here but it is quite a thrill to hook into one of those. Biggest fish I have seen come out of our lake was a 56" muskie.
