Hello Lars and welcome to our forum. I would recommend you post your intro in the General Corvette Discussion section as it will get more viewers. We also have a C1/C2 section as well. I've attached links for both sections below.Hello everyone,
My name is Lars, and I’m writing from Denmark. I’ve just joined the Canadian Corvette Forum and wanted to introduce myself and my long‑term project.
I’ve been a Corvette enthusiast for many years and have been a member of CorvetteForum.com since 2008. I own a 1968 Corvette Convertible, which I purchased back in 2005 as a project car. In 2009 I started a full frame‑off restoration.
This project turned out to be more complex than expected. The car is, unfortunately, a mix — a 1968 front combined with a 1969 rear section — so correcting and sourcing the right parts has been a challenge. Mechanically, however, everything is now done. The car is equipped with a 383 stroker engine, dyno tested and proven to be strong and smooth, with a flat and healthy torque curve and 5 speed manual transmission. The fiberglass body has been disassembled and birdcage has been properly repaired for rust.
Over the years, the project has been on hold several times while I searched for correct parts and body panels. In the meantime, I restored two Lotus Turbo Esprits, which kept me busy but also delayed the Corvette. I’m now fully back on the C3 again, currently repairing the fiberglass body panels and preparing to source the final missing parts before moving on to paint and assembly.
One of the reasons I’ve decided to join this Canadian forum at this point is the current situation surrounding Trumps eyes on Greenland, which has personally made me reconsider where I focus my international connections. As a Danish citizen, this has influenced my decision to step away from U.S.‑based platforms and instead turn toward Canada — a country I respect greatly and feel more in common with.
I’m very interested in learning more about Canadian suppliers, reproduction parts, and experiences related to C3 Corvettes. If there are Canadian‑based or Canadian‑made sources for quality C3 parts, I’d greatly appreciate any guidance.
I’m looking forward to learning from this community, sharing experiences, and hopefully contributing where I can. Thanks for having me here.
Best regards,
Lars

You must have not had your first coffee yet...Just a friendly reminder, you actually own a C8 Corvette.Welcome Lars!!
I'm new to Corvettes entirely so I can't help you there, but speaking for a country that is also threatened by Trump we feel you.
Hope you get some help here. Sounds like a nice worthy project.
Do you have any pics of your cars? We'd love to see them.
