I don't have the built in " Big Brother" spy ware, but my insurance company tried to get me to install a "MyDrive" monitor. I said give me a break, its a corvette, the gas pedal occasionally gets pressed to the floor and my speed occasionally might exceed the posted limits. I don't need anything that might self incriminate me.
Pretty much every car on the road has a hidden black box somewhere that they use in case of an accident. It can tell them the speed you were going before a collision and if you used the brakes at all. There is no such thing as a privacy act any more. Just order something online or search a product and next thing you know you get ads about that product on Facebook or Yahoo or any other site you are on. Except porn. You are safe there.

Been that way ever since credit cards came along many many years ago. Anything that is digital can be used to track you in some way or form.
Insurance companies make me laugh with their "safe" driver tattle tail snitch programs. From what I have heard you are more likely to lose money than save money. Going through a tunnel registers as a hard brake at one end and hard acceleration at the other. There is not a drive I go on that is not at least several occasions above the speed limit. I don't pass an 85KMH car at 90KMH. Usually it is around 140. I call that safe driving as I do not linger on the passing side for too long.
Last time I got on the 401 I wanted to get ahead of a big transport that wasn't moving over so I punched it. As I looked at the heads up display I thought whoops. Theres a stunt driving charge. ( allegedly ) . LOL.

It doesn't take long to pass a vehicle. As soon as we hit the go pedal 160 is almost instant. It's when you don't look soon enough or get off the pedal soon enough that twice the limit is there almost as quick. If you ever get caught, as a last resort, as the officer if he's ever driven one of these and say "here, jump in and take her for a spin." Never know. It might work. ;)

Very unlikely. It means he/she would have to abandon the cruiser to get in with you.

Worked for a friend of mine With his hellcat . officer Went up and down the road , came by the house at least twice at a 100 . When he got out of the car he was pie eyed and said wow that was awesome thanks so much keep it down . Other officers might not think the same . LOL . Hop-in his cruiser waved goodbye all smiles. I think It did help that the owner was a army sergeant And we were right around the corner from Camp Borden . Lol but true story .
My father Once got pulled over pulled over back in the early 70s on Belfield Road between Martin Grove and Kipling he was in his Mercedes 600 . Was probably doing about 90 . I was in the passenger side . When the Officer jumped out on the road to pull him over My father started jumping up and down in the seat waving his arms . As the officer approached my father yelled out I’m sorry officer I took some Ex-Lax last night and I’m just trying to make the bathroom It is a awful time for it to start working . Has the officer approached the car he saw my father’s overweight and out of shape ( Needless to say he didn’t even have a drivers license . Never did his whole life ) He said way you go man but come back come back .
So . I’ve learned in my life experience, there are ways to get around things lol

There is a "Smart Driver" option in the myChevrolet app. If it is enabled, which it is by default, it collects data such as "Hard on the brakes" and "rapid acceleration" dates and times.
If you have used OnStar or the myChevrolet app then it has already been collecting that data and adding it to your credit information.
Check the more info at the bottom right of the screen. When I do that I only see 1.Roadside assistance 2.Explore EV 3. Accessories 4.Parked location and 5.GM Ultium Chargers. There is no reference to Smart Driver nor an option to enroll/delete, but it keeps asking me "Ready to activate your OnStar safety and security services? Drive safer, more connected vehicle today"
I'm assuming that one has to answer "I'm Ready" and then all the data will be collected.
I have a first half 2020
Do u have proof that GM is giving information to credit agencies? Is a profit centre for them. Connected services makes almost as much money as a vehicle division. Any other conclusion is a pure conspiracy theory……

See this post and post number 10 in this thread.
According to the gent on midengine, he received a document from nexus-plexus stating a credit search had been done on him. Colorado law to report that he says. Anyway, he requested all information they had on him and among the data was the telmetrix report from Chevrolet. He showed the documentation.
Believe what you want, but the airbag sensors have been collecting data for many years and is a tool used by police and insurance companies in collision investigation.
