Good morning Colin,

Just waiting to confirm another Pokemon card pickup for 5:30 and then I can hit the road. Going to pop by Manny's and then found a cluster of 4 used book stores, 3 within a few blocks and 1 a ways away but in the same area west of Manny's.

I'm a sucker for more km's on foot (unless due to a vehicle breakdown!) so I'm looking forward to a stroll in this area.

Afterward, who knows and I couldn't care either!

Hope you get a lot of stuff off the list and we'll talk later.........

Good evening everyone,

Well, another day comes to an end. I started out with a nice 8 km walk, I went up and down the side streets this time. The one outstanding difference between houses here and at home is the use of brick. It is uncommon and not often seen at home due to the clay being not naturally available so it has to be brought in from........Ontario apparently!

Then off to Manny's and much to mu surprise Colin was there and I was FINALLY able to see his car! It is a real beauty and the engine work is very comely (this is actually a real word by the way - referring to appealing.....). I was able to enjoy a nice chat with Colin and Manny and also a fellow, I think named Steve with a very nice yellow C5 'vert.

Well, the madness must be at an end. Took the plunge and asked Manny for the Red Stuff brakes, the 3M, interior body color of some plastic and new tires. For sure wore a little more off them today. But again carefully, 2nd gear throttle tapping mostly but never WOT, yet! Colin has been nive enough to arrange for a road trip tomorrow and actually just called me to confirm the departure time tomorrow. You don't get help from a stranger like that often in your life, it makes a trip so much nicer. So tomorrow I meet the Mudders!

OK, so anyway that should bring the car work to an end. I was a bit more aggressive with the driving today but always careful when selecting the time and place. It is great to enjoy the car but who wants guilt of hurting someone in the process??????

So about 2 I left Manny's and hit some used book stores, walked another 8 km, bought more Pokemon cards (I know......) and then back to my hotel to get cleaned up and off to run with the Harriers!

People were there this time, maybe 15 or so and a terrific and welcoming group and like all of you guys very patient as I bored them with the various stories of my life. One fellow who must run a rediculous pace, like 3:30 or 4 for something, very inspiring, who 6 years ago wasn't even albe to walk due to an accident. He started with the goal of walking across his living room, progressed to then walking a block at night when no one could see him and this guy is rocket fast now! But the equivalent of DaSilva and the CCF guys I've met but for my running, just made me feel like family. I have one of their club t-shirts as a keep sake, like my hat from Manny!!

And that reminds me Colin if you should be reading this, do you have my CCF hat and t-shirt too? I think some how I was suppose to pick them up from you.

So I'm almost ready for bed, as I ran about 8 km with the Harriers, that resulted in a 27.5 km day so I imagine that I ought to sleep well tonight.

I don't take vacations often but this for me is MUCH better than a sit in the sun. Getting to experience a new place, fantastic people and a wonderful car.........what the heck did I ever do in my life to be such a lucky SOB??????
