help please. I was cleaning my engine when this part fell off from around the radiator. Anyone know what it is for and where it goes. The vette just isn't the same missing a part. Thanks in advance

That is a very cool looking part!
Now everybody will want one.
I'm thinking a spacer for plumbing lines for the air conditioning condensor or trans cooler.

I have nothing like that on my '75.
Sorry
Graham

PS welcome to the forum...
There are a few people here with '80-'81s ..I hope they can check for you.

So?. Update?
Or did you just throw it out?

Graham
update is that I still have no idea what the part is and where it goes.

As long as your car is still running, the fuel mileage stays the same and the signal lights and wipers still work,I wouldn't worry to much about it.

It looks like a rad spacer of somekind....

Did you habe rad replaced? Is it rubber? Could be something someone used to shim rad into place.

Its not your typical spacer thats for sure....but it looks familiar to me....ive seen it before....but not on a vette min you.

Do you own a tent?? Is it tent hardware or camping hardware

Think the rad support is correct. That's what I was thinking too. Don't think it's for a vet either so I'm just going to file it under g and chuck it.
