I have a 2014 Z51 with 305/30ZR20 michelin run flats on rear and 285/30R20 on the front. I want to put on the continental extreme sports but my local dealer(Woodstock) can't get the rears. Can I go to a 315 from a 305 without any issues? Also anyone try or have on the Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3R? any type of info about other tires would be appreciated. Want non run flats...thx

The factory rear tire size for a 2014 Corvette (C7) is 285/30R20 on a 20”x10” wheel with a +79mm offset for the Z51 package, and 285/35R19 on a 19”x10” wheel with the standard setup. A 315 tire (such as 315/30R20 or 315/35R20) is significantly wider than stock and can fit only under certain conditions:
• Wheel Width: You need at least a 10.5” wide wheel, but an 11” or 11.5” wheel is preferable for optimal fitment and handling. Fitting a 315 tire on a 10” wheel is not recommended, as the tire will “balloon,” leading to poor handling and excessive wear.
• Offset: The correct wheel offset is crucial. Using the factory +79mm offset may push the wider tire too inward, risking rubbing on the inner fender or suspension components. Custom offsets (lower than +79mm) are commonly used to fit 315s properly.
• Clearance: Some owners report that a 315/35R20 can rub slightly on the inside, potentially contacting a small bolt or liner when the suspension is compressed, especially if the car is heavily loaded or the suspension is lowered. Minor modifications (like trimming or relocating a bolt) may be needed.
Summary:
• Yes, 315 tires can fit on a 2014 Corvette if you use at least an 11” wide wheel with a suitable offset, and you may need minor modifications to prevent rubbing.

If you want to go with Goodyears, stick with the Supercar 3 NOT the R. The SC 3R is simply a track tire, not really suitable for street use. I run the SC 3 on the street and they are a good tire, but I also do a lot of tracks days with them as well. Also 305/30/20 are easily available in the SC3.

I stand corrected my rear tires are 285/30R20...sorry my mistake..
 
You could probably get away with using 305 in the rear but not 315.
What you have to be mindful of is some brand of tires have a wider contact patch than others even though they are the same size and width. I noticed this between the Pilot Super Sport and the Pilot AS4.

The stock SS sits flat with square side profile while the Pilot AS4 appears slightly stretched and has less contact width.

I am running aftermarket rims 11" wide in the rear and using 285's , it looks stretched but wider than the stock 10" wide rims.
