I have an 01 C5 and was on Corvette forum and watched a real good well done video that went step by step on lowering the car. That was about 15yrs ago. I dropped it about 1- 1.5 inches with the stock rims and now I have purchased new Variant Sena wheels. They are 19" both front and rear and from the research I've done its sugest that I go 245/35r 19 front and 305 /30r !9 for the rear, but with dropping it will those sizes work or should I down size and if so to what sizes ? Any suggestions? My email is [email protected], I'm in Hawaii but was born in Saskatchewan and glad to c a Canadian Forum for my vette. Thank you, C Flack

Hi and welcome to the forum! Seeing how this is a public forum you may want to reconsider posting any personal info such as address, phone number or email unless you are trying to find a great deal on Viagra , lol. Any member can contact any other by DM/PM using the small envelope icon top right beside your pic incase you weren't aware. I would think someone on here who knows about your question will chime in eventually as they are mostly a very helpful bunch. So I took a search using Perplexity AI and found this which may give you some info. I will add the URL at the bottom as the links to the source of the info don't copy and paste..
For a 2001 C5 Corvette, the stock and common 19-inch upgrade sizes are:Stock wheel and tire sizesBase / coupe / convertible:Front wheel: 17 x 8.5, offset about +58 mm, tire 245/45ZR17 .Rear wheel: 18 x 9.5, offset about +65 mm, tire 275/40ZR18 .Z06 (if yours is a Z06):Front wheel: 17 x 9.5, offset about +54 mm, tire 265/40ZR17 .Rear wheel: 18 x 10.5, offset about +58 mm, tire 295/35ZR18 .These sizes and offsets are shared across 2001–2004 C5s, so most C5 fitment info applies directly to your 2001. Typical 19-inch aftermarket setupsOn a stock‑body C5, owners and wheel makers commonly run staggered 18/19 or full 19-inch setups without body mods if offsets are correct. Common “street” 19-inch fitmentsThese are examples that fit within typical C5 clearances; exact feasibility depends on wheel design, offset, and alignment:18 front / 19 rear (very common):Front: 18 x 9.5 or 18 x 10, around +56 to +60 mm, tire 275/35R18 .Rear: 19 x 10 to 19 x 11, around +57 to +60 mm, tire 295/30R19 or 305/30R19 .Full 19-inch staggered:Front: 19 x 9 to 19 x 9.5, offset roughly in the +50 to +60 mm range, tire 255/35R19 or 265/35R19 (keeps diameter close to stock and avoids rubbing).Rear: 19 x 10 to 19 x 11, offset again in the high +50s, tire 285/30R19 to 305/30R19 (305/30R19 is a very common “max performance” choice) .A typical “no‑drama” aggressive street setup people use is roughly:Front: 19 x 9.5, 265/35R19.Rear: 19 x 10.5 or 19 x 11, 295/30R19 or 305/30R19. These stay close to the factory rolling diameter so your speedometer error and ABS/TC behavior remain reasonable, while filling the wheel wells better. What to watch (offset and rubbing)Try to stay near stock backspacing:Stock front 17 x 8.5 +58 mm has about 6.5" backspacing; stock rear 18 x 9.5 +65 mm has about 7.35" backspacing. When you go wider (9.5–11" wheels), you generally:Keep backspacing similar so the wheel moves outward rather than inward into suspension.Use mild negative camber (around −2° front, −1.5° rear) if you push to 10–11" wide wheels to avoid fender poke with low profile 19s.

Thank you for the info. I appreciate your reply. How can I post a couple pics of my car. I recently did an aftermarket upgrade with Lucky Garage USA street reaper headlights . I don't know if any of you heard of them but in my opinion there the the best and cleanest aftermarket lights for the C5 and the best kit of any upgrades I have ever used. Front, side, and rear are all LED. Any questions about them feel free to ask me. Thank you for your help. C Flack
