$130,000. Ridiculous! I guess some folks bought these just as an investment. That too bad for the rest of the people that got shut out of ordering, or had there order delayed until 2021.
I don’t think that is a fair assessment on your part. We live in a capitalistic society. Supply and demand amigo. Everyone selling these ordered them just like you did with the intention of keeping them. Are you saying that one year ago we all had a crystal ball and predicted a UAW strike and COVID-19. I think it is very unfortunate that many people will not get their 2020 C8’s. However I am getting tired of all the whining on here from people complaining about market economies and supply and demand. IMHO.

To each his own with what they do. I want mine to drive but that’s me. I just wish i could get it before i am to old to drive it! They told me nine months last August and now it’s a 2021. Another dealer told me maybe not next year depending on allocations to certain dealers. I wish they had told me this before I sold my C6. Still waiting.

GM's blacklisting people if they sell the car before 12 months of ownership.
selling/not selling > nice fairy tale

I‘m just saying $130K is rediculous, and is an attempt at taking advantage of the situation. That being said, if someone offered me $50K more than I paid for mine, it would be gone.

Sorry to hear about what you have gone through in what is supposed to be an exciting buying process. I consider myself very fortunate to have lucked out with obtaining my car.

lol that isn’t me. I was offered $100,000 for mine and still I didn’t commit. Not much point selling if I can’t buy another one for a couple of years. By then there will be price increases.

Congrats on your new ride, but now selling? If you got an offer for $100,000 I can see why, profit, and buy a 2021? I never heard of GM blacklisting owners if they sell their ride before 12 months of ownership? I assumed they sold the mid engine Corvette in Europe now?

I agree it is ludicrous to pay $130,000 for a 1 LT. I wouldn’t pay more than 5K over list but that is just me. I am cheap and I don’t have money to burn. That being said the cars are definitely going for a nice premium on the resale market.

Violinfather I won't sell mine for the reason you mentioned, someone in Southern Ontario posted about being blacklisted from buying a 2021 after selling his 2020, I would rather keep it then make a buck with no other car available in 2021
