Can you say 650 Rear Wheel Horse Power :D

One of the biggest names in supercharging is at it again. Magnuson Superchargers has just launched their new Heartbeat System that caters to the late-model LS crowd.

NO HOOD REQUIRED

We used the same technology that Formula 1 uses to cool the blower in regards to our dual-pass intercooler. -Dan Bronsten

It’s engineered to fit under the hoods without the use of an aftermarket hood and without the use of any cutting into the OEM piece. It’s a simple bolt-on arrangement that includes all of the necessary installation hardware and utilizes all of the factory vacuum and EGR lines.

What makes this intercooler particularly interesting is the fact that it features a built-in, dual-pass intercooler, a design aspect that is borrowed from Formula 1. Dan related to us, “We used the same technology that Formula 1 uses to cool the blower in regards to our dual-pass intercooler.”

Speaking of performance, you can expect up to an additional 120hp and 110 ft.-lbs. of torque at the rollers by installing one of these blowers to the engine of your car.

Heartbeat kits are available in either chrome or black powdercoat, and only for Chevrolet Corvette (C6), Camaro (2010+), Cadillac CTS-V (2009+), and Pontiac G8. They were first unveiled at SEMA, and will be available for purchase by the end of December.
•Increase horsepower by up to 120hp over stock
•Bolt-in design
•Incorporated intercooler

The Heartbeat kit comes complete so you can have the perfect balance of drivability, good gas milage, and incredible performance and will be available at Dasilva Motorsports .

That is crazy! I actually didn't expect the Nasty to go Forced Induction however, this is sure to be one heck of a build! I really like the looks of that unit and it fits under a factory hood? Awesome!

Very nice supercharger Manny. However, if I am not mistaken, it shows only being available for C6 Corvettes. What are you doing to fit this on the Nasty1?

Riley , Riley , Riley ....did you forget who you were talking too :D

We at Dasilva Motorsports are cutting edge and have already come up with our own C5 application :canada:

You wanted the low end torque vs. the centri blowers? How are you going to prevent (control) wheel spin? Just pedal pressure? I went with Racelogix TC system... does the standard system work with excess power?

Looks awesome!!

I personally prefer the torque , not really worried about traction as I am used to driving sideways

Racelogix is a nice sytem for sure on my list for this build .

Plus it gives me the excuse to do the wide body rear and go 345's out back :D

I know there is also the heat soak, but for me its more of an eye candy part , rather than the power gains ............although I'm sure an extra 150 hp at the wheels won't go to waste :canada:

Manny,

I was always sad that the 2006 Z06 did not have launch control like the newer Z06's (I think) and the ZR1's have. I've sort of found this a difficult car to launch. Now I know we talked about not going drag racing every Sunday with the upcoming mods you'll be adding but something like the Racelogic Traction Control sounds like it might be useful to have.

Have you installed many?

While I am currently searching for menthanol injection system $ what will the Racelogic TC run me?

Cheers,

Garry

We have done a couple along with the LPE 2 steps . Both work very well . We can talk about it tomorrow . I will call you in the morning

I know everyone is wondering ( I know I am ) What is the cost of this unit ? Both for the unit and installed and tuned ?

Larry , we can not publish any pricing untill next week .

I will post it as soon as Magnuson gives me the ok :D

I met a fellow in Moncton N.B. who had a 69 Camaro Yenko clone with 1400 hp.........

I asked him Paul!....... why do you want all that power?

He smiled, and said..... Why Not! lol lol

so Manny and Paul think alike lol
