Submit order 2019 corvette

Hi MiroB:

I'm in the same situation and have been able to find out a little information from 4 local dealers in eastern Ontario. Some of it should be taken with a grain of salt but I think that there is some truth to it.

Although the US pricing for the 2019 MY C7's was released on December 13th there is no indication that Canadian pricing will be available anytime soon. In addition, the Canadian dealer order book is not open and, again, dealers don't know when it will be. One dealer showed me a memo from GM Canada stating that " 2019 C7 allocations will be available beginning in February ". This makes sense as Corvettes are not shipped to Canada during January and February. I'm told that, although production of 2019 MY C7's will begin on January 29, 2018, Canadian cars will not be built until some time in March.

So, based on this information, it appears that the earliest that we can place an order here in Canada will be February, 2018. As for pricing, who knows with GM Canada, but it will likely come shortly before the order book opens in February. For me this time frame will work out well as I hope to take delivery in April / May.

Take this information for what it's worth given the reliability of both GM Canada and it's dealers.

Best regards
Ross

2019 C7 - what happened to 2018? What am I missing - LOL?

As far as we all know based only on some of the previous posts,GM and the www. rumour mill ..lol, the 2018 is a very limited production year. Supposedly, special orders for 2018's had to be by the end of November or so as they are wrapping up production of the 2018 sometime early in the new year. They will begin production on the 2019 ZR1 in March and they will roll out to the dealers around May. If you are shopping for a new 2018 Corvette now, they say it will either be an existing dealer inventory or existing dealer order. If you want to special order, it will have to be a 2019 C7. They are also making some oil fill and electrical changes for the 2019 C7 so wanted to get the 2018's out of the way and the 2019's going earlier as well.

Thank you for the update. I did not know this even though I get the Motor Authority news regularly. The new C8 probably late 2018 or early 2019? I think the C8 might get me excited even though I am at an age where I should probably stick with my 2016 C7.

I’m now tapping my foot waiting for the C8 has to offer but secretly reluctant to seriously consider one as I would be constantly embarrassing myself trying to put my stuff in the engine bay.... :Shrug2:

Yeah, I understand where you are coming from. With the lid down on my vert I can get a set of golf clubs in it; and, with it up, more stuff, If I want. I don't imagine that one could get much in the C8 which will be a draw back to be sure.

Oh C'mon guys. Where there's a will.......And the bonus would be the extra 950 pounds of downforce......

Thanks for the information, I have not been able to get much in-site from my dealer. I finally got off my wallet and ordered a 2018 Grand Sport in mid November, just to find out two weeks later (beginning of December) that GM could not fill the order. It's been a wait and see story from my dealer as to when a 2019 order can be placed in Canada. I would really like to take delivery of the car in April/May, do any of you know if that is possible if the order goes in sometime in February?

Muskoka: northern Ontario - so, where did you order it from? I am sure that in T.O. there are a few large dealers that have several 2018 GS in stock just like here in Vancouver. You should be able to find a GS in stock somewhere in hog town? Good luck & Merry Christmas. Maybe you could find a 2017 in stock with good incentives to buy by the end of Dec. - just like here in Vancouver?

Not sure on 2019 deliveries. April/May might be pushing it. Depends when the changeover from 2018's takes place and how much overlap there will be with the ZR1 production line.... Good Luck and let us know how you make out.
