Sadly, my C8 will be stored by Oct. 31st 2024. I do not think I will make the Trans/ filter top off , this autumn. I have been really sick this week and lost about 250 kms in drives, at least. Luckily GM increased it to 3 years. I went and looked up advance predictions in weather and yes I know , it does not mean much but I prefer to be prepared, than be sorry. These summer tires I have on, have lost a lot of grip , I can easily make the car swerve, so when the weather reaches 10 or below, yahoo, wild ride and lots of swerving. So now I am going to cry.:depressed::bawling::Arghh:

Do you drive mostly on cobblestone roadways in the city/Vieux-Montréal?
The summer tires are stickier than the all seasons because of the softer rubber compound.
Sorry, I'm trying to understand "swerve".
Since late Spring, I regularly hit cloverleaf off/on ramps at speeds well above the recommended kph, and the car sticks to the roadway like glue w/summer tires. (per Mr. Corvette)
Unless some 18 wheeler has dragged shoulder gravel onto it. Then I back off a little.

I have 9000 plus kms and I drive aggressive. I am talking city driving. Even though I have pushed it into off ramps at least 105 up to now. I don't know where you live but Quebec ramps are very sharp turns, mostly. If you don't believe me ask my wife! 😉

We don't have cobblestone in Alberta but I'm guessing his "swerve" is his ass breaking loose. My Michelin PSS start to do that on sharper corners and off ramps when the temperature hits about 4 degrees... To be honest, I know what's coming and enjoy playing with it....

I am sure I am a way better driver than you,so I know how to make it do what I want. I do it often on purpose but sometimes it just happens when I am in a hurry.

What is your in service date? If you have a 2023 you have 2 years to get your free stuff done. For 2024 model year Corvettes they extended it to 3 years to get your free DCT and oil changes done. Double check with your service advisor to see what free services you have left and when they expire.

I was told 2023 also have 3 years for free DCT.

lol.... Pretty cocky statement for someone who doesn't even know me. What makes you so sure of yourself?
I just know because I am blessed. I cannot go into details , on this site, whys because some themes like politics etc. cannot be mentioned! Remember I can make my C8 hop!;):p:Cheers2:

Fair enough. Actually we have an off topic section if you've never been blessed enough to find it...the C8 is only a small footprint of what the forum offers..... Here's the Canadian Politics thread.

I am sure I could find it , no problem but I prefer to NOT discuss politics , religion yes, again cannot go into specifics but not politics. Thanks anyway. Have a great day.

I assumed this was during recent normal use, in warmer temps. I didn't drive mine (much) last winter in temps below 40F, per the warnings on the summer tires in the manual. Even though it was a relatively mild winter in my area of SW Ontario. I also slightly overinflated them to keep the sidewalls firmer in the colder weather. They can handle up to 50psi, but mine weren't even close to that.
I've only ever broken the tires loose once. I was about to get rear ended by a MB sedan that came out of nowhere behind me as I pulled out of the driveway, and I "accelerated aggressively" to create some buffer space behind me. No harm, no foul.

Only once? wow? I didn't think there was that much difference between the A/S and the summer tires. I break mine loose all the time.

I break it loose at least once a day , if I use the car , of course. At one street light , where I have to make a U turn , I roll slightly ahead and cramp the steering wheel and step on the gas and it spins like it is on wet pavement or ice etc. Let it go just in time to make sure I am in a straight line , in case a cop sees me. :p

All comes down to tire and road temp. I just checked and currently at 1 pm our air temperature is 0.0c . An easy on the throttle day ,lol. Solid sun though so we may hit 3c later today. Woopie !
