wow that sucks, but the risk is that most cars that come by rail might have damageTurns out there's two cracks, on both sides, below the door side panel, one is about 5-6 inches wide, and the other is about a golf ball side. Really not sure what the recourse is here because I can't fucking fathom the idea of paying nearly 160k for a car that needs repairs out of the gate.
Didn't take pictures yet because I'm going back on Monday but there's always one thing or another with this experience.

Damn, dude. In this kind of market, I would refuse delivery, honestly. The C8 is not hard to get anymore and I’m sure you can find an allocation somewhere. $160,000 with a repair paint job would not go well with me.
Yeah I reached out to the GM Response Team and they called me back to assure me they will not be repairing anything, brand new parts only. No clue how long that's going to take or what the timeline on that would be and if I get my car in the meant time. Have to wait and see what's going to happen.
Got to love the incompetence of GM having this issue since 2020 and doing jack s**t to rectify. I feel for you as I know you’ve been waiting for a while for your car.

It was a dealer in Montreal… Basically, the car was received mid-September and sold, but the person buying it went into personal problems and ‘returned’ the car to the dealership after a month with 500km.. The dealer accepted to take it back as it was a very good customer who bought many commercial véhicules…. So the car was basically ‘as new’….Wow, was it new? You got really lucky getting that. Is it from a dealership were familiar with?
That means you also saved the luxury tax as well and got the original infotainment system. You hit the jackpot with that deal!
