Sticking Reset Button

I had this very problem yesterday. strange soft - boot - eprom message when starting the car - Corvette Forum
I've come to the conclusion that messages that show up on the DIC may not have anything to do with the actual problem at all. How many people end up going to the dealer and spending a lot of money on the wrong stuff when the culprit is some cheap, junk push button switch. Had I taken the car to a dealer, I would more than likely have been shelling out a bunch of money needlessly. My internet more than pays for itself.

the easy fixes are like a gift from the wrenchin' gods......sometimes they look down and smile upon us !!! not so nice when you incur their wrath though

The wrenchin' gods and I are on good terms. It's the electronics gods that worry me. They sneak up on you all of a sudden, They don't always tell you what is going on and they are devious at best.

I put about 35 miles on the car tonight and zero DIC messages at all. This is good.
