I just bought a 1963 Convertible and was thinking of installing a passenger side mirror. Is it the same mirror as the left hand side? Left hand side is all I can find on line for purchase.I do realize it was a dealer option at the time.
I'm a bit nervous about drilling holes in my door.

There are 2 mirrors that may have been installed on your car. Early production date and late production date. They have different bases.
Short base and Long base.
That right hand mirror was a dealer installed item. Not from the factory.
Both "Corvette Central" and "Zip Corvette" ( and I'm sure other suppliers ) show mirrors for your car. Do your homework as you don't want to make a mistake.

IMO, it depends on he state of the car. If it is a pristine example, then adding the mirror must be done as if original. If it is a good street car but noting special then any mirror that fits the door panel will do. Send us some pics of your new baby please!

Thank you for the reply folks, but I think I will leave it off as it was not there originally.

I have a new problem. I cannot find an early 63 ignition cylinder/switch. I sourced a late 63 and it doesn't fit.
Can anyone tell me where I can find one for my early 63 C2?
