I just replaced the rag joint in my 75 Vette, and it seems the steering rod that goes through the centre of the column has backed up, moved somehow. It pulled away from the joint about 3/4 of an inch and destroyed the joint I just replaced. Anybody with any experience with this kind of problem, and what I need to do to keep the shaft from moving?
