Spring Fling 2013 !!!

How about meeting somewhere together before the actual start of the fling? I am planning on bringing my '67 if the weather is good. I don't know where the GM dealer is yet but there is a Tim Horton's right on the corner next to where you turn to go to the local hospital. Would that be satisfactory for everyone? Otherwise, it may be hard to meet everyone as I haven't met any of you yet.

Good idea Terry. What time? I know the area quite well.

How about 10-10:30? The Tim's I mentioned earlier in my post I have just learned is just down the street (Hume St.) about 2 blocks from the GM dealer where the fling is being held I believe. Hope to see everyone there.

I'll see you there at the Tim's about 10:15 then. :D

Anybody else coming to join Glen and me?

Who's Glen? I stopped by Brad's place today. He's going to bring his '89 along; are two Vettes in a row considered a convoy?

We'll see you shortly after 10 am at the Tim's.

Greg.

Greg sorry, I was thinking Greg but wrote Glen for some reason. Thx. for correcting me.

No problem Terry. I thought there really was someone named Glen.

I had been planning on going to this thinking the whole time it was on Saturday ... :( My calendar now tells me I was wrong .
Sunday is Grandkids day...don't really want to miss that.

Have fun guys and Gals ! :canada:

Beautiful morning here! A little cool (only 5*C) but supposed to get to 21*C today. I think I'd better put the T-tops back on for the drive over. See you at the Tim's, Terry.

Greg.

Well I got to meet Case 75 and Caledonia Brian as well as seeing but not meeting Wild Willy(?) at today's spring fling in Collingwood. There had to be at least 125 vets at this meet today and all were looking mighty fine. I took the '67 and she was the only one there but there were a couple of other C2's, a 63 and a 65. I wish I could have taken the ZR1 too as there was not one to be seen anywhere. A few Z06's and a couple of Z51's but no ZR1's which surprised me. While I was there, the GM dealer announced that they have been allotted 4 C7's for 2013 and are now taking orders. I wish I could have stayed longer but had to get home for another function. Really great to finally meet a couple of our forum members and finally see their cars. Both of their cars look fantastic and they should be extremely proud of them. All in all, a great afternoon!

Just got home a half hour ago. A bit sunburnt too! Very nice to finally meet you too, Terry! And what a beautiful car you have!

Brad (badlyworn) was along as well. We cruised over together. Beautiful day for a drive. Car was working great. I managed 23 mpg over and back; a significant improvement over the 18 mpg I was getting last year so the tuning really helped.

It was nice to see Brian (Caledonia Brian) again and meet hie lovely wife who's name escapes me at this moment. (Jane?) My humble apologies.

I took a few pictures in Colin's absense but not as many as I should have.

Shortly after arrival. Terry polishing the '67. My '75 to the right and Brad's '89 beside mine.

Terry and his '67. Someone should buy this car!

Brian and his '88 convertible. Beautiful car Brian!

My '75.

A nice custom '63 split window in Atomic Orange.

Yes, it was a great day. Great turn out at the Spring Fling. Nice to meet Terry (Navion) sorry for drooling on your fine 67. Nice car man, but I just can't convince Jane that she would look great in it. Also nice to see Greg and Brad again.....both of you have cars that you can be proud of.
A lot more car this year than last. And not a bad one in the bunch. I stopped for my usual pee break at Hwy 9 and met up with Wild Willy and his bunch from over at the other forum; so I joined their convoy for the rest of the trip. Kind of nice pulling into the show with I think 10 corvettes of various vintage.
Yes..it was a good day, even got a bit sunburned on the 2 1/2 hour cruise home.
