spray nos

can anyone tell me what kind of engine damage if any come with using a nos system? is it hard on a motor? a gentleman I know is using the 100hp spray on his stock 06 vette. I always thought this would cause engine damage under continued use, but I have been told otherwise. where could I find more info? most sights I found so far just give a how to, or sell the systems.

I think it's only hard on a motor if you go lean. If you keep the mixture rich, you should be safe. I think of NOS as just chemically supercharging the engine. If I find a link on how it affects the engine, I'll post a link!

when it's good it's very very good, when it's bad it's very very bad. I know a lot of people use it but I'm not a fan.

I've heard it can be very 'explosive' and that long term usage can be very detrimental to the engine -- specifically the pistons.

a 100 shot in that engine provided it's in good shape should'nt hurt anything for the occasional blast down the dragstrip. going higher with the spray is when you start rolling the dice.
