I trust that you're talking about the wheel spacers/adaptors that are used for widening the stance of the car for aesthetic purposes, to give a more aggressive look and to bring the tire/wheel assembly closer to being inline with the fender. Something like this: Hubcentric Wheel Spacers - 3/4in or 1in | Corvette Mods. They are also used to install non OEM wheels/tires of different sizes for performance purposes.

If you go wider than 1/4" (6mm) you'll need longer wheel studs equivalent to the width of the spacers. Suggest that you make sure that the spacers are hub-centric, measure carefully on both sides of the car so that you are certain that the extra spacer width does not create interference problems with wheel tubs/fenders and don't use a spacer that will extend the tire/wheel assembly beyond the fender.

My only concern, and it's minor, is that increasing the rear wheel track will alter the alignment geometry slightly. This may or may not have an effect on the rear caster and toe depending on how wide the spacers are. You might want to have the alignment checked after installing the spacers and putting 1000 kl's or so on the car.

Totally agree with cdnrx1 ....I have used wheel spacers (both front and rear) on many cars the latest a Jaguar XK. IMO it totally changes the look of the car. As stated by cdnrx1, hubcentric spacers are a must. I have never been let down by using H & R spacers...... and yes, def get it aligned after a bit of miles are put on the car and use proper torque settings when tightening the lugs. Post pics if you get it done...
