Some Tough News From My Neighbourhood

There are not a lot of Corvette's in this area, some older classics that you see on show nights. A couple of C7's a C5 Convertible and a C6 Coupe. The C6 appears to have been involved in a very serious collision on the Deep Bay Road just south of Minden, Ontario. I have seen this car and the gentleman driving it many times.

According to the Highlander News from Haliburton the car was northbound on the Deep Bay Road, a very twisty one, went into a ditch crossed the road and collided with another car and landed in a field. Absolutely destroyed. Both drivers were taken to Toronto by Air Ambulance, their condition at this time is unknown at this time.

Sad indeed. Hoping for the best for both. You can go online to the Highlander June 2/16 issue with the story and picture on page 7.

Awfully sad news to hear about. Prayers out to both drivers for complete recoveries.

I use to drive mine like an idiot when I was a teenager, but after watching some YouTube videos of corvettes crashing I drive like a senior citizen now. I'm this close to driving with the hazards on. From what I've seen and read most Vette accidents are caused by the Vette driver not handling the performance of the car.

Always sad to see it or hear about it.
