So, I've seen lots of reviews, almost all favorable, of the Soler throttle controller for the C8. And several vids which clearly detail where/how to install it and 'hide' the gismo in the console compartment. (Presumably these folk assume that C8 thieves do not watch YouTube videos.) I feel the the throttle response in my stock C8 is plenty adequate for reasonable daily driving, but I am curious about the anti-theft aspect of the unit. But I wonder what happens A) if the unit somehow fails while in lock out mode and B) what happens if the thief has watched the multiple install vids, knows where to look, and screws with the unit, or even uninstalls it. Anybody with real experience with the Soler have insight to share???

I've had one for about 5 months ....It is set to sport 5. There is a noticeable difference in throttle response.

Have not had an occasion to try the lockout for the gas pedal. It is only accessible from the phone app.

I have thought about what to do if the lock out screws up....I guess you would just have to disconnect and put it back to stock.

I only bought it for the lockout feature.

Would I purchase it again ? Probably not. But I will transfer it to my next car...
