On my 74 coupe I am going to run dual 4 barrles on an old school Offenhauser intake, I want to run electronic ignition for better spark, will the TPI distibutor work for me with an external coil and control box?

use your points distributor with an internal electronic kit.
I've been running a Petronix II and MSD 6al for 13 or 14 yrs now using the original distributor.
