Hey everyone,

I have family in Red Deer and want to hit up the Nitro Jam at Castrol this weekend. I just want to hear what you guys think would be a good location/time for a meet? And any other ideas you have.

The GTG is planned for Saturday at Panoka starting at 9:30am! Should be awesome!

Hey Riley, just waiting to see if the Ponoka meet is a complete flop or not...........before setting another date. So far it doesn't look great with a number of guys planning on not coming.........because of the cool unsettled weather this weekend. Don't see why July 4 or 5 wouldn't work for a meet.

Far enough in advance I can make this work. Once more people say yes and location we can nail it down Riley. Anywhere from Red Deer to Edmonton would work for me. Hell anywhere works when you're in a vette.

When you pass a snow plough with a Corvette do you down shift into second and stand on it or just idle by in 6th or 7th? What is with the snow out there? Man I thought we had it tough.

Good luck guys and I hope you can all meet up for your July get together.

If we go near the end of the weekend, I think somewhere close to edmonton would suit me best, then I can just blast down the yellowhead back to toon town and don't have to deal with the Saskatchewan single lane roads.

Well. Confirmed that I have vacation time booked for the 3rd to the 7th.

Going to hit up the Rocky Mountain Nitro Jam Nationals at Castrol Raceway and would like to meet up with my Alberta Vette family. I'll be staying in Red Deer but can meet anywhere between Red Deer and Edmonton.

There are better/faster way to get to Saskatoon other than the Yellowhead--especially if coming from Red Deer, Ponoka, Stettler, etc. Some of it is brand new pavement!:coolgleam:

Either way Ryley, shoot me a message on your comings and goings--would love to meet up and show you my vette one of these days instead of the other way around.

Vince.

Rob,

Can you PM me contact info for your guy in Red Deer. The people in Edmonton with a Tech2 machine have theirs broken right now. Looking for other options. Do you know if they have one?

Sorry--not to hijack this thread. I think I can make it, but it depends on the day. I will be between Calgary and Edmonton, so hopefully I can time it when I am on the road. If so, I'm happy to come then, and lay a bit more rubber on the road in Ponoka in 2014.

Vince,

Looking at the schedule for the Rocky Mountain Nationals, Saturday the 5th morningish (10am?) would work best for me for meeting. How does this work with everyone else?

Second question is, where does everyone want to meet?

My two choices are Red Deer or Panoka.

Thoughts?

For Brian's and Riley's sake I'm good with Ponoka. If the Ponoka guys want a bit bigger drive we could try somewhere closer to the city. Pigeon lake or Leduc? I'm in for July 5 or 6.

We are pretty flexible, sounds like Sunday Morning would be the best for everyone???

If that works for everyone, We can work on setting up a venue, might be a bit tougher as the local Stampede will be on, so the Motel Parking lot We used last time might not be available.

We will put our Top Man on it and I'm sure Somebuddy will come through for us......

Hey Beards Flying.

I was in Ponoka today and had a C5 give me the wave on my way out of town. Was that you? I did reciprocate, but was could not get my window unrolled on time to get my hand out.

Anyways, if it was you, thanks for the wave! I popped in to get some gas returning from the Arthritis walk in Calgary. I would have stayed a bit, but leave for France first thing in the morning.

Cheers!
