Glad you made it there Jim -- did you bump into any other members there?

Heartbreaking pictures for sure.

C.

I met a couple of guys from corvetteforum.com but no one from Ontario or this forum. Being there and seeing the cars in person was quite different than seeing them on the internet pictures. The unofficial rumor was that four of the cars are fixable and four are not. The Hammer measured 22 inches wide at the seats and is definitely scrap, or will be displayed as is.

The hole is 63 feet deep and there is a crack in the asphalt in the parking lot outside of the building that's getting wider each day but the engineers say the museum is safe? I wonder if they're the same engineers that ok'd the original construction?

The drive down and back was horrible! I 75 and I 65 were not roads to drive a Corvette on. I got an alignment done before I left and I think I need another.

Great (but unfortunately) pics Jim! Thanks for posting these up. They really do show the severity of the damage better than what was seen on the internet. It is pretty hard to look at at how mangled these cars are knowing what they used to look like.

Super Pictures Jim ....
