I never thought about the shock wave from one of those things but it would make sense considering it was going Mach 78 when it hit the atmosphere!
 
When I was stationed in Oklahoma I'd stay up all night looking for tornadoes ---Nothin

When I was in California I'd stay up waiting for an earthquake ---nothin

Now I won't sleep because I'll be lookin for meteors ,hope I won't be disappointed
 
Global News had an on-screen graphic indicating that a direct hit of one that size (rather than glancing blow), with the CN Tower as ground zero, would level every building from Mississauga in the west to Pickering in the east and Markham to the north.
