There are some openings a mouse can enter that you can't close. Somehow a couple of mice got into my Camaro. It was stock from that perspective, but they found a way. Squished past seals or something.
Did you store your Camaro in your barn on it's roof after you rolled it?
My 1979 MGB has been stored annually in an unheated modern barn since 2005 without a single issue of rodent damage. As you can well imagine, a small British 1970's car has more holes than could possibly be found and blocked. Mice can climb tires and have full access to the engine area. I use a combination of moth balls and dryer sheets throughout the car at the time of storage. Smells awful in Spring!Delinquent squirrels
