Replacing rear axel nuts on my 2007 as per TSB 07-04-95-001a which states to torque nuts to 160 ft lbs. Getting feedback that torque should be 140 ft lbs. Any one able to substantiate correct torque.

There were a few different TSB's on the axle nuts. Last time I torqued my C6 axle nuts I did them to 160lb-ft. I had one that kept loosening, so I double-nutted it.

Did you use new nuts and Loctite 272 As per SB?I split the difference and torqued to 150 and used Loctite. Will use old nuts and double nut. Thanks for the reply

I used new nuts, and some type of Loctite, don't remember which number specifically. Fooled around with different torques and checking them periodically before I just threw on one my old nuts as a doubler.
