Look good here but having problems uploading from files. For some reason when I click to up load the computer file shows empty although when i use file explorer the pics are all there. Will have to work on it

The Romans had an early form of in-floor heating called a hypocaust, which used hot air circulating under raised floors and sometimes through wall flues to warm rooms .
It was used especially in public bathhouses and in some wealthy homes, since it was expensive and labor-intensive to build and run . I saw this in a couple of excavated buildings in Pompeii . Way ahead of its time . Then again the Romans made concrete that is still solid even today. And the formula as far as I know has yet to be duplicated.
And here I was joking....Not sure the Brits were as inventive as the Romans but what the hell.... learn something new every day....

Clotted Cream on the scone , i think the church was built before the 15th Century but not sure . They were doing renos many , MANY years ago and when taking off some of the plaster there's an awesome painting on the wall that i think dates back to the 12th century but again , my memory is failing so i cant be sure . Some of those stain glass windows though are extremely old as well
Very nice to see them preserving that history. I'm sure there were many of what would today be priceless works either covered up or just tossed in the bin over the centuries. That is a beautiful old building. Pretty interesting beam layout of the roof supports . Makes you wonder why today you hear about a structure being replaced and they will say " well, it was time as its almost 45 years old " , lol.
