Anyone actually try to change steering lock relay? I see lots of posts how to bypass it but none on changing the relay. There are lots of videos on youtube on basically how to bypass Corvette protections , safeties and locks but none on actually replacing a steering lock relay.

I put in the kit. Because the relays are the same, just taking out the K harness that GM installed for the recall and changing the relay didn't work for me. As such, I never posted it as a fix, but hopefully it'll show you where the relay is if you want to give it a try.

Here is the link to my install: C5 CLB Install (Service Column Lock Fix)

Thats for the post Riley !!

The thing is this. If these "fixes" screw up, I'm afraid that I may lose steering of my car while driving down the highway. It could be FATAL.

Question, when you car is parked, no key in the ignition, can you still turn the steering wheel? No matter what, my steering wheel will turn as part of the recall was to remove the locking plate so it no longer locks. If your wheel is locked and can't turn, you still have the locking plate..... I haven't heard of a steering wheel lock while the car is in use with the CLB installed but I can understand your concern.
