Ok, so this was a b, of a search . I am now looking at Corsa Extreme cat back 21105. It is specifically made to go with C8 Z51 NPP and AFM. 18 hps more 16 trq more, but the sound is less satisfying . Will buy from Tdot. Just making sure , now, this is the right fit, for myself.
a friend of mine has this on his stingray, it sounds really good...but he has headers and high flow cats to complement.

That adds a lot more HP and sound. I am ordering today, by the way. It opens at 10 am. I have a few questions. Thanks for the info.

I don’t think that’s it adds “ a lot more” HP, you should definitely dyno your car before and after install just to make sure you are getting the advertised hp

What I am trying to buy adds 18 hps. 16 trq. That is just cat back. I read if you change the whole system it goes up to 40 hps depending on the system etc.

Agree. Total exhaust mod might give you up to 25hp increase....If you are lucky and don't cheap out. Good headers are properly tuned to your peak RPM band. Cat backs only are usually only good for 10 or less so I guess we will see....if @WLGJ does dyno before and after. If not, no one will ever know.

Cat back is 12 to 19 hps. dyno tested.

Their claim may or may not be true for your car. Maybe your car makes more or less than factory advertised 495hp?
True, but I hope it is more.

Yeah. I wouldn't take that to the bank. I've see that much difference from different runs with the same car on the same dyno on the same day. Depends on the dyno make as well... Dynojet are typically more reliable than Mustang Dyno. Guessing your time on the track will be the only way we're gonna know..

Found this….
Yes, aftermarket exhaust systems can provide performance gains for the LT2 engine. Late Model Racecraft (LMR) saw an increase of roughly 21.5 lb-ft of torque by replacing the stock system with a custom cat-back exhaust. On a fifth gear dyno pull with the LMR exhaust, peak wheel torque jumped to 438.3 lb-ft while horsepower was up slightly, to 459.16.
Here’s a breakdown of potential improvements:
• Torque and Horsepower Increase: LMR’s cat-back exhaust system added close to 40 lb-ft of peak torque and a few peak horsepower at the wheels. The system also increases as much as 20 horsepower through the middle of the power band.
• High Flow Catalytic Converters: LMR designed high flow catalytic converters for the C8 Corvette, which increased the baseline numbers from 458.4 horsepower and 437.92 lb-ft of torque at the wheels to 467.79 horsepower and 447.93 lb-ft of torque.
• Overall Gains: Comparing the original dyno numbers from this C8 prior to any exhaust work being done to the numbers with the cat-back system and the high flow cats, this C8 Stingray gained roughly 10 horsepower and 47 lb-ft of torque without any other changes to the vehicle .
Over 4 times the gain in torque vs hp . As Martha would say……
And this video from LMR .

Done! Bought and paid for. Now have to wait 3 to 4 weeks. Corsa 21100. Fully functional with our systems.
