Question about the "Wave"

It's hit and miss for me... The ones that wave always have big smiles... I get thumbs up sitting at traffic lights from just about anyone beside me...especially when the roof is off... ... But there are also Corvettes that I know see me but seem to ignore both me and the wave...... I have actually had some ricers (and kids to boot), back right off in traffic, give me a big thumbs up and let me merge......There's a guy in Red Deer with a red 458 F car that waves back too.... But then there are several Vipers that totally ignore the wave.... It's a shame they are so jealous that they won't even be a little sociable...... As far as the Mustangs go, usually by the time they realize it's a Corvette that just passed them, it's too late for them to wave...:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Passed two Corvettes today a C5 and 6, neither one waved. A guy in Porsche 911 passed me on Highway 11, I gave him a thumbs up and he gave a big wave back. Thought that was cool. Sometimes I wonder if other Corvette drivers even see another one. Maybe lost in their own world. Oh well.

Same here, I have had guys wave so hard I thought they were having an attack of some sort. Other's......nothing. I always wave at any cool car. My arm gets pretty tired as the Jeep people do the wave as well. Never get a wave in our Grand Cherokee but always in the Wrangler.

I almost always get a wave back from the guys driving Challengers, probably more so than the any of the Corvettes around home. Usually the older guys in the Corvettes wave back though.
I wonder if waving through the back window at the Mustang drivers count? I think they wave back but I'm not sure if they are using all their fingers.
Like the idea of flashing lights however around Newfoundland it means one of two things; police up ahead or a moose on the highway

I only Normally get the single finger wave when I'm driving the H1 and always from a person in a position to escape the scene without being left with 40" MT tracks over their hood.

LMAO.... I get that one finger wave too when I'm driving my diesel, but normally just from bicycles that I've passed on the road and then at the next red light they are trying to pass me again on the inside while I'm stopped ... They get really pissed when they get squeezed against the curb...
:rofl:They call me A$$hole...almost as if they know me.... hehe....

I have been at red lights in the cold H1 with a convertible beside me a few times (not saying what models) taking the full turbocharged, cat free, spitting black ooze flow at eye level from my 4" exhaust that spews out just behind the back DS wheel.
Thanks goodness for tinted windows as I was both terribly embarrassed and laughing uncontrollably at the same time.
The window goes up on the vert and the splatter starts landing on the window.
I always let them pull away before I apply throttle to move. Get a justifiable finger wave pretty much every time. :angelic:

Your a bad man Derek.:smile1::rofl1:

I always wave but sometimes with a single finger.

I noticed in cruising areas you get a lot more waves. Ie. Lakeshore Road anywhere in the GTA.

Rest of the time most are focusing on not getting hit by all the idiots on the roads these days.

I waved back but thank you for yours.:Seeya::thumbs::Seeya:

Usually get a wave from half the Vettes I wave at. We had a member here a few years back who said he was out driving one day and of course waved at every Vette that came his way, did not get a single wave back. It wasn't till he was back home and parked in his driveway that he realized that he had been driving his pickup that day.

Hahahaha. I was wondering if anyone accidentally waved when driving one of their 'normal' cars. :D
