Purchased 2024 LT2 Coupe Carbon Flash Metallic. Any Feedback ? Was thinking of Grey !

Well, if the community is going to start helping you with mod suggestions. Then while the dealer is installing the GM dual red stripes have them swap out the black seat belts for the red ones😉 and add the front grill guards (they won’t do anything for looks but do a good job saving the fins on the front condenser’s, 2 quality aftermarket choices if you don’t already have them and cheaper solutions yet on Amazon). Your boys may like your SR’s eye appeal better should you decide to add some striking color accents. Plenty of time if you don’t plan on taking delivery until April.

Is PPF same as ceramic coating?
No. PPF is a protective film for stone chips etc. . Ceramic is not protective in that way. It makes cleaning easier and will repel some dust like brake dust. I have both. PPF with ceramic already on it on the front and ceramic on the rest of the car including the wheels. Highly recommended.

Any guidance as to the cost to have Ceramic and then PPF applied? Is the PPF only for the hood and front bumper?

I did the front , front fenders, hood , lights , mirrors , windshield frame and below the doors. I have an HTC so I did not do the top but you should if you do PPF.

Agree with all of the above! Think of it this way while standing in front of your C8. Any body panel or painted surface that you can see a stone can see too, so protect with PPF. Windshields can be covered, it just rarely gets done due to lack of demand, installer experience and product availability. Lastly, this is not cheap the above can easily be $3500 depending on the installer & material used. Check around your area or ask other owners near you for reviews on who is doing a good install job.

Carbon Flash is a fantastic colour, looks black most of the time, looks greyish in certain light and when up close Wow, this is my 2024 HTC only, got it end of November and I have only driven it back from dealership, this is my 2nd C8 HTC my other one was a 2021 Silver Flare, however at 1 1/2 year old I traded it in for a BMW M850 convertible, the BMW was fast, luxurious, smother riding and had more room plus 4 seater (2 for kids or dogs only) but all BMW convertibles look pretty much the same
But for the grills, it just did not have the wow factor and was not the head turner like the C8, so I had to get back into the Corvette, I was going to get into a E-Ray MSRP was $173K but living in BC what a joke 20% PST= $34,600, 5% GST = $9,380 and lux tax = $14,600 for a total of $58,580 in taxes if no trade in, so a $173,000 car then goes to $231,580 what a F- - -ing joke.
Soon to probably have another 25% added on to it if the tariffs go through, but don’t get me started on that subject.

Your car looks SICK ! Beauty

No PPF is not ceramic coating.
PPF, Paint protection film, it is a “wrap” designed to repel chips,UV damage, etc.
There is lots of stuff on the web and forums about it.check it out
Ceramic coating is a treatment that creates a protective coating for your paint, (can also be done on glass, wheels, engine bay), to enhance shine and ease of cleaning.
Often with PPF, ceramic coating is also done .
Check it out. Highly recommend it .

lol. No clue want you are saying so I will spend time to figure it out

Personally I would never again have ceramic coating done on any of my vehicles, I have had it done before on a 2021 Toyota Tacoma, a 2023 Ford Tremor, a 2021 C8, a 2023 M850, my wife’s Mini JCW, and my wife’s BMW X3, all of the above also had PPF done as well.
The ceramic coating just makes it easier to wash the car for a little while, all of the above ceramic coating were 5 year coatings, In my opinion a total waste of money but for the C8 and M850 as I traded these in before 2,000 Kms and were still pretty easy to wash, this was only due to them not been used that much and only washed a few times, the rest of the ceramic coating were and are, like it was never done, my tremor has water spots all over it that will not come out, and my wife’s X3 looks like s**t after a touchless wash it has to be hand wash and even then there water spots on it that don’t come out.
Ceramic Coating in my opinion is a big waste of money, the new C8 has been waxed by me and I will keep applying the wax, just like I did for years on all my other vehicles before this ceramic coating came out, there are some really good and easy on / off waxes out now.
As for the PPF until I purchased my C8 and Tacoma in 2021, I had never done PPF on any of my vehicles including a C3, c6 and a C6 Z06 yes the PPF may stop some small chips from happing. but really all you maybe doing is keeping the car chip free for the next owner, unless you are keeping it for ever, my C6 Z06 was brand new in 2012 and when I traded it in it had just under 20,000 Kms on it with no chips on it at all, apart from one chip on the back where some stupid woman walked passed it with a big buckle on her handbag a chipped it, but you don’t put PPF on the back of a car, unless for some reason you wrap the whole car.
In my opinion PPF is a waste of a lot of money and all you are doing is maybe keeping the car chip free for the next guy to own it and it will not increase the trade in value if traded in as a dealership does not take it in to account it has PPF of Ceramic coating on it, trust me I have found this out.
