PPF in Edmonton area

I don't know about the shops in that area but I shipped my car to Factor Autofilm in Kelowna because I know their work is spectacular. They just finished the PPF on my car and it's at August Motorcars for wheels tires and 5VM package.

I've been back more recently to have the door sills covered with PPF and I recommend you do those areas as well given the "foot traffic" they get. Gary's price has likely gone up from what I paid since he quoted me w/o having done a C8 before and found it more work than expected, due to all the angles/edges on the front. But I'd suggest you check him out.

I'd like to organize a "C8 meet and greet" for people in the Edmonton and surrounding area, once COVID restrictions relax. Good luck!

I would highly recommend First detailing studio, they did my 2020. Full PPF, ceramic coat, Tint and some vinyl work. They do fantastic work!

Thanks for the info! I am also waiting for mine to arrive. Currently sitting in Toledo. I will definitely post some pics once it arrives. I’m from outside of Edmonton but will be making some trips to the city. It would be cool to meet up and have a look at the other C8 setups in the city. Yes, I second Car Pretty. Auto Obsessed is also excellent, a little pricey however.
How long does it usually take? I would prefer to get it done by one of the shops you guys have recommended over the dealership as the price the dealer is giving me seems high but convenient. The dealer has quoted me $5700 for the entire front end and mirror.
The reason time is an issue is I’m coming in from Vancouver to get my car and with COVID restrictions I’m not sure how long I can stay so the quicker I can get it in and out of the shop the better

For a extra $300 you can get the entire car PPF’d with Xpel Ultimate in Vancouver. Check out more detail on thread “Clear paint protection film YES or NO”.
I should get my C8 sometime early July (I hope) so I can’t comment on the job yet. Btw that includes ceramic as well. Good luck. Hope to see you on the road sometime.

If $5700 is only for the front end and mirrors and only PPF, that's +++++ high. You should consider doing more than just the front end/mirrors unless you're worried about timing and only want the basics done, for your trip back to BC. Many people apply PPF to their C8 to the following locations shown in blue:
This gives you protection from rocks/debris being kicked back from your tires as well. I had my C8 both PPF'd (as shown above, plus the A-pillars and above the windshield too) and ceramic coated for half of the $5,700 you were quoted but that was admittedly at a business run out of a home garage with no overhead (see my earlier post on this thread)...but it was a good job nonetheless. But price also depends on whether you're getting all the edges wrapped (ie. no pre-cut templates which will leave a slight gap) and the type of ceramic coating/warranty offered. For you getting it done in Edmonton then taking it back to BC, coming back for any warranty work will be a challenge. Good luck!
Yes that seems pretty high. I’m getting the front end plus mirrors done in XPEL Ultimate Plus, 10 mm, for $2500. Also getting the A pillars and behind transparent roof done possibly in a black XPEL PPF. Still waiting on a price for that part.
