Vette tour going south from edmonton?

I was traveling south out of Edmonton on highway 2 towards Calgary and passed a line of about 10 Vettes. Looks like they may have been on a cruise somewhere. Anybody hear of any cruise that was happening?

Global TV aired an interview they did today in Calgary with the group captain as the Alberta group staged for the trip. 30 Alberta Vettes left today...They usually schedule to meet up with the other Canadian and US groups at various points along the way. They are expecting a total of 5000 Corvettes to show up in BG on the 29th. Last time the police in Kentucky shut down the highway on the way to BG and gave the Vettes their own escort.

That's a hell of a drive from both main cities in Alberta to BG..... good on them.

I did a couple Corvette trips from Calgary to Bowing Green with my son in 2001 and 2003. It was a great bonding experience. We also flew to Indianapolis to pick up a Chevy SSR in 2007 and drove it back to Calgary. Both are shown in my avatar. We have seen a lot of the USA together on those trips.
