Hi all,

CCF will be undergoing a significant platform upgrade over the next couple of weeks. This was originally planned a few months ago but had some personal setbacks to deal with.

All said and done I will gradually disable certain features prior to the upgrade before going ahead with it so do not panic if you see some things stop working. It's temporary.

The base forum functionality should largely work as it does today.

Will keep you posted but expect sporadic downtime for 10-30 mins on occasion.

There are loads of new features that I'll be building on top of the new upgraded forum - particularly around Events that has been sorely lacking.

Thanks for your patience.

FYI: Some posts in off-topic aren't showing up as "new posts", but they are in my alerts.

Off topic messages were never setup to show in New Posts in fact. I've put them in for now, there were objections earlier. Have enabled them now but can be filtered out.

On behalf of the New, Younger Generation of C8 Owner's, thank you to the Old School Hierarchy for loosening their shoelaces on their New Balance Orthotic Footwear...
hmmmm..... Not that familiar with New Balance. Expect they are probably ok but not prepared to give up my "Younger Generation" Italian Piloti driving shoes. :p

Noticed for a while now whenever I click on a post in the 'What's New', it takes me instantly to the first post in the thread....
Takes me to the first unread post in the thread unless I've read it already. Then it reacts like you said.
Edit: I'd prefer it go to the last post, but it just takes clicking on the last post link on the right.
The contrast in colour / brightness between what's read and what hasn't is not nearly enough IMO.
