Hate to be $hit disturber but isn't the blue item a die casting integral with the parking lights? If it was off it had to be broken or bent.Isn't that gap between the red arrows just a bit 'off' from one side to the other?
Further, and this is more of a question than a statement, but is the trim shown by the blue arrow to be vertical, or does the angle make it go faster?

The red arrows just follow the normal curve of the bumper. Just my opinion.......LOL Here's another example, so maybe it is in the photography, but why worry - these cars are over 60 years old. How do you look when that old?
