How can you tell Back to the Bricks car show in Flint. Michigan is my favourite show, running head to head with Woodward Dream Cruise in Detroit? Not only is it the 3rd largest car show in North America it is also home of the Corvette Reunion where there are over 700 Corvettes on display north of the Flint River. Now the conventional side of this show, where everything you can imagine is displayed, is not to be outdone. On the south of the Flint River in downtown Flint they block off the whole of the downtown area. 14 large city blocks along the brick paved Saginaw Street, about 2 kilometres, by 3 blocks wide holds about 4,000 display vehicles, plus the Buick section next to the original Durant-Dort Carriage Company building. The major claim to this week long event is it is all free except for food and lodging. The week includes US23 drive in movie theatre, an outdoor concert and dance party, a rolling cruise to and from Grand Blanc and a huge car show. Plus there is a show inside the show with the Buick Club of America mini car show and the Corvette Reunion. Now why am I telling you all of this, well I only found one '58 Chevrolet in this almost 5,000 vehicle collection - so here 'tis.
