Looks like Mod season is officially here.

Whats the general feeling on this?
I can paint my Calipers or have them painted for less than $100.00.
Or I can have them Powder-coated for $300.00
Fireball coatings in Erin quoted me $75.00 each.
Mike the powdercoater in the U.S. does an exchange program for $280.00 shipped.

I would like to color match them (Magred II) with black brackets.

Has anyone painted their own? How do they hold up?

My new wheels are ordered so I need to dress up Rotors

What's a good rotor to go with?
Looks like Hawk HPS pads have great reviews.

Any opinions are greatly appreciated.:canada:

With paint you can do touch ups when needed , as they do get chipped.
PC is a great finish , but if they chip you SOL touch ups.

If you do the calipers in one color and the brackets in black , it will make the caliper look small . Do both the the caliper and brackets , it will make them look much larger.

Hawk HP or HPS are great pads , but also have a look at EBC .
Made in England and come in Yellow Stuff (cermaic) and Red Stuff a more aggressive compound . I run the Yellow for street and the Red for the track.

Off topic,Hey Manny, what track do you run on or recommend???

It depends on what your skill set is . If you are just starting out TMP is real easy to learn on . Mosport has a small track that is also a good choice for the beginner . If you are more experienced then the big track at Mosport is a blast , and my personal choice . Other tracks of note :

Calaboggie
Shannonville ( lots of walls )

Hope that helps , now back to our OP's subject :D

I have no idea what to use to coat your calipers.

As for rotors, I really like the C6 Z51 rotors and hope to install these on my car in the near future. I find they look great and should be easy to replace if needed.
