Welcome Dwayne!

We all hope you can fill Owais's shoes!

He was a great participant, gave honest relevant information to the forum users and created a great image of himself and Gateway.

Good Luck!

Ummm according to the specs, this appears to be a Z06 (ie 650HP) andthe picture and price seems to go along with that. The VIN is 9011 which just might mean it hasnt been received yet and they have it expected by months end.

I see there is a mention of the 650 hp engine under specifications, I was looking at the power train section where there was no mention. Now I see another salesman from Gateway has posted another C7 a used car , a 2014 Z51 for basically the same price Drew is asking for this new 2015. My we have a lot of Gateway posts today on this forum.

Surprising to see a z06 that wasn't pre-ordered showing up here given all the complaining about how hard it is to get one in Canada.

That nice dsom z06 that they have listed is already sold, there seems to be some confusion as I have correspondence to say other wise, did some digging myself, car is in windsor or is on the way to dealership

Things that make you say ummmm

Vin decodes as a 2015 Z06 Coupe w/2LZ. Car enters the system automatically once it is in transport from what I have heard. So sold cars show up in the dealer's inventory until they pull it out of inventory.

Yes that's what they said as well, just caught me off guard, talked to George and he is having dealer principle call me tomorrow

I've seen many dealerships put cars up on their websites (don't think they have them in any way linked to GM's database) as teasers, just to get you call. When I was looking for a C7 last year I saw it across a number of dealer websites. I'd call , the car never was available , but would you be interested in ordering one? Pisses you off , bad enough trying to get a C7 let alone being led down a garden path by these teaser ads. When I was seriously looking last year in February my eventual dealer had four C7's up on theirs, all pre-sold, nothing available until a allocation came around in May which is how I got mine. I talked to my salesman about their website doing that same thing and he explained to me that is exactly why they do it, just to get you to call.

Sorry for the delay gentlemen, I was with a customer. Just to clarify, any incoming vehicles that are tagged by our system get automaticlly entered and decoded with generic pictures and put on our inventory list. Most vehicles are in transit, land and placed in inventory by this system. Custom factory orders are very few and are taken out of the regular inventory. This was a factory order and is not for sale. Customer will be notified when it arrives and schedule a delivery date. Thanks Muscle for the correct info on your reply.
I am always here to assist........

There was an ad for a C7 over the last year from a Edmonton dealer that had the same Crystal Red C7 as available in Autotrader for 6-8 months. I talked to a member of this forum , the car had actually been pre-sold, came into the dealership , cleaned up and gone to it's new owner in a couple of days. They used the same pics over and over again of that car in their ad. Today there are ads in Autotrader from a Winnipeg dealer with multiple new C7's available including a Z06. I bet it would be very tough to find any of these available to a new buyer. They wonder why people get ticked dealing with this kind of stuff in an honest effort to buy a car for themselves.

A very sad situation indeed. I haven't seen recent posts from Owais and thought this to be a bit odd. Now I know. Hopefully he lands on his feet quickly. He was an asset to this forum and Corvette lovers all around.

As for the Winnipeg dealer with multiple C7's, their system as soon as they have an inbound car it automatically gets posted to their website. All the C7's (Z06 included) are pre-sold units except one Laguna Blue Coupe.

Just to confirm my earlier statement, the 2015 Daytona sunset orange Z06 left with it's new Owner this afternoon
after a long overdue wait.

This is a very popular colour Z06 in the Canadian market. Another nice one.

Best of luck to the new owners.
