Just got confirmation from Owais that car is built and should be delivered within the next 2 weeks. Somewhere in the BG parking lot there is a C7 with my name on it...

So as I previously posted my dealer said that Z51 and Yellow were holding up my order so after having rented a non Z51 in Palm Springs we decided that was OK and we picked the Daytona Orange with Kalahari in a 3LT. Got a May 18 build week.
So now dealer calls back and asks if we could get our Yellow Z51 2Lt would we take it?
Apparently they now have both coming and we have options!!!
Go figure.
Talked to the wife and she is crazy about the DSOM and Kalahari so that is what we took.
Anyone looking for a Yellow Z51 convertible in BC let me know and I can point you in the right direction. Same may 18 Build week apparently.
While in Palm Springs we went for a day trip up highway 74 to Oceanside and what a great road to test the car out on.
In Sport mode it handles like a dream and just eats up the twisties.
Could not believe how nice the car was at speed. Very quiet not much wind action at all and very comfortable even for me at 6'1 and about 280 lbs driving or in passenger seat.
The things that surprised me the most were the ride quality, the comfort in the car, the quietness in the car with the top up at highway speed and how the car changes so much when you drive in the different drive modes.
I have done lots of racing in karts and motorcycles but have never owned a sports car. This thing drives as precise as a kart and as exciting. It is so easy to drive at speed and relaxing to drive. Gobs of power and good brakes even in the base model. On a track I can see you might like more but for the highway it's awesome.
Can you tell I'm excited!!!
