Possible Estate Sale of a dear friends 2020 coupe that has been resting for past 3 yrs except for an outing for a new battery and dealer service with 2,000 km on it. Color is red with red interior and machine finish silver wheels on it. Z-51 package and 2LT interior trim.
It’s never been outside overnight and I think never washed just Instant Detailer. Always climate stored on a lift. The family has asked me to find a home for it. A sad story and more details available to any interested serious parties.

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps @Mr.Corvette could give you an idea. He knows the market as well or better than most. Given your description it should be desirable. Good luck with it .

Surprised this one hasn’t been touched yet. Well, I am willing to take a stab at it. Considering the vast majority of any year C8 seller starts off hot knifing hash oil using a coil stove element (sorry to date myself) before they write the ad and put on an somewhat out of touch selling price, I will try to be more realistic. A good portion of C8 ask prices in Canada today and that is what they are an “asking price” not the selling price are still to high. With this particular 2020 car we have some missing sorta important info (that will matter more to a prospective buyer). Now, options 6 model years in will not bring a lot of extra cash on a MY20 SR coupe, but on a well optioned MY20 they will help and certainly not hurt the final agreed on price. What options will do is increase your buyer pool, attracting folks who are looking for a vehicle with certain or specific options or trim level. So does this C8 have GT2 seats, front lift, does the DCT need a fluid change (probably a good idea and do the oil at the same time & maybe throw in a new battery) since the original post did not specify the hen the last service exactly but as inside of the last 3 years. Now what a dealer would ask on their lot and what a private seller finally sells at can be very different for the same vehicle. Assuming the estate does not want to warehouse the car over the winter and is requiring an “all cash buyer”-so not having interest taking in a trade I would say $80,000 +/-$2,500. Personally if I were interested it would have to be priced somewhere in the $70’s regardless. We are now in September which gives the estate more or less 6 to 8 good weeks to get a deal done and cash out. Not the best time on the calendar to be trying to sell a C8 when their are many newer “used” than a 2020 to choose from and prospective buyers that have CASH know this. Last point, it will not be worth more in spring of 2026..think about that.

Thanks Zora. Some good points.
I understand it was just serviced by the selling dealer and a new battery was installed. I won’t be able to revisit the car until the holiday is over to get more pertinent info and answers. There is also a pretty nice 65 s/b 4 sp roadster that could be packaged together. I’ve had some numbers from a dealer and 2 wholesalers but although realistic in the $70’s the 2 main principles in family are still emotionally attached to both vehicles as a shrine to dad. I went down this road with them a year ago but reality is starting to kick in. Finally. I thought I would test the waters on CCF as I promised I would keep a low profile instead of the more common sales avenues. It only takes 1
Thx and cheers. Tom

Agree low $70’s (tax paid discretionary dollars) and it sounds like a crazy low 2000km C8. At that money the estate should be able to move it before the snow flies. Still leaves a buyer to consider the DCT if the fluid is factory fill original and way overdue for replacement. More info will be the due diligence (I hope) of those interested.

UPDATE: Some pics I took yesterday including History report showing diagnostic upgrades and dash showing KMs. Mom has been offered $80 m on trade for anything new from dealer stock inventory. She still feels it should bring that on a retail sale with or without the dealership so any $# in the w/s range won’t work at this moment in time. She watched my friend buy and sell lots of cars on A/T and Kijiji over the yrs and feels there’s an ass out there for this seat. Crude but true. We’ll see.
